This is a unique and demanding educational track focused on languages and cultures, leading to a diploma that is recognized in France, Sweden, and internationally. In Sweden, earning this diploma grants direct access to programs taught in Swedish at Swedish universities (as confirmed by the equivalency standards defined by Swedish universities). The details and advantages of this program are thoroughly outlined on the website of the French Ministry of National Education, through a brochure, a flyer, and a video.\n\n\n\nWishing to raise greater awareness of this opportunity among students and families at the school, The LFSL team  took the initiative to produce a video  showcasing how the program is implemented in Stockholm.\n\n\n\nThis video gives voice to current and former students, teachers, and academic staff. They highlight how this program strengthens students\u2019 language skills\u2014not only in terms of communication but also cultural understanding\u2014how it helps them develop essential cross-disciplinary competencies for success in higher education and for building an international career, and how, through the uniquely designed Connaissance du Monde (Knowledge of the World) course, it encourages them to understand\u2014and even engage with\u2014society by addressing complex contemporary issues from multiple perspectives.\n\n\n\nWatch the video and hear the testimonies of students and alumni below.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn detail, this video was filmed during a professional development workshop for teachers, led by two trainers from the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), Alain Bouleau and Douglas Bastick. Over two intense and enriching days, the BFI was at the heart of all discussions\u2014through workshops and experience-sharing sessions designed to deepen understanding of the pedagogical challenges of this demanding program, while also giving students a voice and treating them as true scholars!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe training sessions focused on discussions about the objectives and framework of this French program, as well as its context within Sweden. These exchanges involved the trainers, the school principal, and Mr. Sauvage, an English inspector at the AEFE\u2019s Department of Teaching, Guidance, and Training (DEOF). Teachers involved in the program had the opportunity to share perspectives and synthesize the many cross-disciplinary strengths of the BFI. They then engaged in discussions with current students enrolled in the program and with alumni, further enriching the collective analysis.\n\n\n\nThese two days of intense reflection concluded with a collaborative writing session for the video script, and a meeting between younger students in first year of high-school\u2014interested in joining the program\u2014and their older peers.
