These students, aged 6 to 18, follow the French curriculum, the same as in French schools in France. The younger children are received in a Swedish Preschool, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lfsl.net\/en\/school-program\/preschool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">F\u00f6rskola<\/a>&#8220;, which has no agreement with AEFE and is attended by approximately 89 children. These children can later continue to the first class in the school, CP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-center\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An International School<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais Saint Louis has the status of an International School approved by the Swedish National Agency for Education and consists of low and middle school, upper secondary school and high school.<br>The low and middle school (CP to CM2) welcomes 318 students in 16 classes, the upper secondary school (from the 6\u00e8me to the 3\u00e8me) welcomes 249 students in 11 different classes and the high school (from 2nd to Terminale) welcomes 127 high school students in 6 different classes. The teaching provided is in line with all French schools in the AEFE network (<a href=\"http:\/\/aefe.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AEFE<\/a>), ie a French-language education that respects the French National Ministry of Education&#8217;s curriculum, schedule and regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">All students are taught Swedish from first grade and Swedish teaching continues in primary and secondary school. It gives the students the opportunity to transition to the local education system or to further their education in Sweden after obtaining their diploma.<\/p>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"666\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lfsl.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Lyc\u00e9e2_1160-1024x666.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2064 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lfsl.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Lyc\u00e9e2_1160-1024x666.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.lfsl.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Lyc\u00e9e2_1160-300x195.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lfsl.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Lyc\u00e9e2_1160-768x499.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.lfsl.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Lyc\u00e9e2_1160.jpg 1160w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An agreement with AEFE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With its agreement with l&#8217;Agence pour l\u2019Enseignement Fran\u00e7ais \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9tranger (<a href=\"http:\/\/aefe.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AEFE<\/a>), the Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais Saint Louis is part of a network of 600 similar schools in 139 different countries around the world. At AEFE&#8217;s schools, more than 400,000 students are studying, of which 40% are French and 60% come from other countries. <br><br>The Headmaster, Denis Ravaille, and the Director of the Low and Middle School, Fabrice Palhies, are expatriated Frenchmen and employees of AEFE.<br>The teaching is carried out by qualified teachers from France, as well as by local staff, certified French or Swedish teachers.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diplomas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the school, the &#8220;Le Dipl\u00f4me National du Brevet&#8221; is being prepared during the final year of secondary school and &#8220;Le Baccalaur\u00e9at&#8221; for general education and the French International Baccalaur\u00e9at (BFI), with an approved diploma, during the last year of high school. Students with Swedish as their mother tongue can also study for a Swedish upper secondary school diploma and obtain a Swedish High School Diploma (Gymnasieexamen).<br>For a long time, the Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais Saint Louis has obtained excellent exam results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, 100 % of candidates obtained their \u201cBaccalaur\u00e9at\u201d (Lyc\u00e9e) and 98% the \u201cDipl\u00f4me National de Brevet\u201d (Coll\u00e8ge).These excellent results, which are among the best of International French schools around the world, attest to the high quality of the education at our school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Swedish Foundation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The school is governed by Swedish law, through the Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais Saint Louis Foundation in Stockholm, with Guillaume Lefebvre as chairman of the board.<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lyc\u00e9e Fran\u00e7ais Saint Louis in Stockholm was established in 1959 and receives 694 pupils during the academic year 2025-2026 in the international part of the school, from \u201cCP\u201d to \u201cTerminale\u201d.
