Swedish
You need to have a corresponding approved level of the course “Svenska 3” or “Svenska som andraspråk 3” (Swedish as a second language 3) There are several ways to achieve that:
- study “Svenska123” at the LFSL
- take courses in “Svenska som andraspråk” (Swedish as a second language) that you can enroll in after you have completed your Baccalauréat. Contact your municipality’s adult education – Komvux – for more information.
- take preparation courses in Swedish at the university. They have entrance tests to see the level. You must have passed your BAC and have studied Swedish at least one semester at a school
- Take a university exam called Tisus. This is a test aimed at those who have an international degree but don’t have a diploma in Swedish. This test is quite demanding and it is not uncommon to first have to take a Swedish course in order to have the chance to pass the test.

The students at LFSL have more (2600-3200 depending on the série and the options), which is called an extended program.
The credits that exceed 2500 are called extended courses. In the Gymnasieexamen they are marked with a U. These courses are only counted for if they are needed for the eligbility for a specific program, or if they give you “meritpoäng”.
Special egibility – BAccalauréat and OIB
In addition to the requirement for basic eligibility, many programs also have special prerequisites linked to the content of the program.
N.B.! You need to go to www.antagning.se to see what is demanded if you are interested in higher education in Sweden. For example, you need matematik 4, fysik 2, kemi 2 and biologi 2 to study to become a doctor, which you only can achieve with a gymnasieexamen NAT, at LFSL. Your french baccalauréat, with or without OIB, won’t be enough.
Special egibility – Gymnasieexamen
This means that you are required to have at least grade E in specific courses for different University programs.

LVA in English is the equivalent of English 6. LVA in Swedish has no equivalent. To be able to study in Sweden you must therefore choose English as LVA.

INformation concerning OIB from the university admissions
Baccalauréat General, Baccalauréat du Second Degree and Baccalauréat de l’Enseignement de Second Degree can be studied with an international orientation: Option Internationale de Baccalauréat (OIB) .

The students at LFSL also study Social Science 3 during the SHS hours in Terminale.
