Search for Host Families for the “One Year in Stockholm” Program

As part of the launch of the international “One Year in Stockholm” program,  Lycée Français Saint Louis de Stockholm (LFSL) is still looking for a few families willing to host a high school student aged 15 to 18 during the 2026–2027 school year.

As a reminder, this program allows students enrolled in the French educational system to spend one academic year at LFSL in an international French Swedish environment.

A rewarding cultural and human experience

Hosting an international student means:

  • sharing your daily life and culture;
  • enjoying an international experience without leaving Stockholm;
  • contributing to the personal growth of a motivated and independent young person;
  • taking part in an innovative French Swedish educational project.

LFSL is primarily looking for families living in Stockholm within a reasonable distance of the school, with an available private bedroom, who are open to international exchange and willing to share Swedish culture and lifestyle. No particular proficiency in French is required. Communication can naturally take place in English.

A well-structured and supported program

The program includes:

  • a clear legal framework;
  • an agreement between the families;
  • regular support from LFSL;
  • a dedicated coordinator;
  • a selection process and preliminary home visits.

Host families also receive a fixed financial contribution paid by the student’s family.
